Bonnie - an affectionate and loving girl who is LOOKING FOR A LOVING FOREVER HOME💜🐾. (One of 2 Serbian girls we are helping who are currently being looked after by Balkan Underdogs, a non-breed-specific rescue.)
Bonnie was spotted by a lovely rescuer whilst driving in Serbia at the start of 2018. She stopped and noticed that Bonnie was starving and very underweight and suffering from a skin problem. It was raining and she was terrified. She was probably dumped by hunters or breeders which is a common occurrence in the Balkans. She managed to coax her with some food and Bonnie has been safe in kennels since.
Bonnie is approximately 18 months - 2 years old. She is neutered and healthy and will hopefully travel to the UK late September. She loves the company of people and the other dogs in the kennels and clearly has a lot of love to give.
Bonnie will need an active home with plenty of walks and exercise. Like many Balkan dogs, she probably has a high prey drive and may not have any recall at the moment. She may have never lived in a home, so may also not be house trained or know how to play with toys. She will need a home where her family is willing to work on basics like this. She is not cat tested and it isn't known how she is with children, so if going directly to a forever home, it would not be with children. She will be rehomed with our 5 week free Agria insurance and our full rescue contract. If you feel that you could give her the active, loving home, or a foster place to allow her to come to the UK, please get in touch with the GSP Rescue UK team.
